Fuyuko is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and the first certified iRest Yoga Nidra® teacher in Australia. She specialises in private, small group and corporate yoga lessons in her home town of Gold Coast, Australia. She has been intensely committed to the Science of Yoga since 1996 having learned directly from remarkable internationally renowned Yoga Teachers like Donna Farhi, Judith Hanson-Lasater, and Dr Richard Miller. She has been studying with Donna since 2000 and Dr Richard Miller since 2007, and follows Tantric philosophy. She has assisted the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and workshops for Donna. She regularly offers Yoga Fundamental courses based on Donna’s approach to yoga, as her interests lie in teaching the moving from inner-reference and the practice of Yoga as Self-inquiry.
Recently, she completed the certification to teach iRest Yoga Nidra®: an evidence-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that; releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system and develops a deep capacity to meet any and all circumstances you may encounter in life.
Fuyuko’ s teaching style is an open and welcoming one that people feel free to be who they are and experience the complexities of the mind/body in a safe & peaceful environment, as part of a process of integration and restoration. It is her own experience of deep equanimity, inner peace and joy without cause that has inspired her to share her practices with the world.
