For those of you who wish to extend your Retreat, Cameron Tukapua will be offering a weekend retreat The En-lightened Heart, January 21-23. Please scroll down for further details.

The Passionate Heart: A Women's Yoga Retreat with Donna Farhi
Each of us has a dharmic path, that when followed with commitment and tenacity leads us to the awakening of our greatest potential. How do we connect with the larger vision of our most heartfelt desire? When we lack vitality and enthusiasm in our lives it is often because we have abandoned our dreams and this potent energy remains as a latent unexpressed force. In this retreat we will explore ways of reconnecting to our inner wilderness territory; using the practice of Yoga to bring clarity and courage to the journey.

Each day will consist of two main classes: the morning class will be devoted to active asana practice and the afternoons to the practice of sitting meditation, restorative postures and Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is an ancient Tantric practice in which profound states of relaxation open us to the nature of the true Self. During the retreat we will enter a daily silent curfew from 10:00 pm to 10:00 am as a way of potentiating our experience. A special feature of this retreat will be evening mask-making sessions culminating in a masked ritual.

Special Guests
As a special feature of this retreat Donna has invited respected colleagues Cameron Tukapua and Juliet Forch to share their gifts with our retreat participants.

Cameron Tukapua is a visionary, leader, acupuncture practitioner and teacher with over two decades of clinical practice and professional development education experience.

During the retreat she will be offering individual healing sessions. She uses a blend of deep listening, spirit-focused acupuncture, flower essences, tarot readings and story telling. She will also be giving some evening talks on the heart and how to awaken it's potential.

Juliet Forch has been practicing Yoga for seventeen years and teaching for ten years as the director of The Papakura Yoga Centre in Auckland. Juliet has studied extensively with Donna Farhi, assisting at intensives and teacher trainings in New Zealand and internationally. She has also done intensive study with Judith Lasater on the use of restorative Yoga postures. Treasured by her students for the warmth and intelligence that she brings to her classes, Juliet has an exceptional ability to meet each person with complete acceptance while at the same time opening new pathways for transformation.

During the Retreat, Juliet will be teaching some of the afternoon Restorative and Yoga Nidra classes.
