Jahna is passionate about helping people to experience a sense of well-being and ease in their body and mind, which is why she seeks to teach Yoga and Somatics in a way that nourishes the whole person. All her offerings are an invitation to sense and feel the body from within as a way to deeply reconnect to ourselves.
In her teaching, she loves to create a space of openness and non-judgement where you can explore how your body moves with a sense of curiosity and play and where you can come to rest into stillness, welcoming yourself just as you are.
Her love of Yoga includes a dedicated practice of over 20 years and her ongoing studies with Donna Farhi continue to inspire and nourish her. Jahna’s classes combine gentle embodied yoga with somatic movements for whole body integration. Somatics is a neuromuscular approach that effectively re-educates your brain to release tight muscles that are often the cause of muscle stiffnesss and pain. As she embodies all that she learns, her passion is to share this with her students.
As well as her classes, Jahna teaches workshops on iRest Yoga Nidra, Somatics and embodying your yoga; she also offers one-to-one sessions that are specifically tailored to meet an individual’s needs.
When she is not on the mat she loves to lead a fairly simple life; going for walks in nature, laughing with loved ones and curling up with a good book in front of the fire.
