An exclusive retreat for Yoga teachers
Yoga teachers give a lot. And sometimes in that giving we become depleted and lose sight of our own self-care and the deeper vision that we may hold for our lives, both personal and professional. This retreat is exclusively for those working as Yoga teachers who would like an opportunity to reconnect with their personal practice as a source of nourishment, well-being, and the foundation for embodying the wisdom that is Yoga.
Each day of this retreat will begin with a silent morning meditation (optional for those of you who are not early risers), followed by an active morning asana class with an emphasis on gentle warming and hydrating practices that loosen and release the body as well as strengthening and stabilizing sequences. In the afternoons, we will focus on Restorative Yoga practice, and on exploring our own and others’ questions, challenges, and wider aspirations - individually, in dyads, and small groups. Our sessions will culminate most days in the deeply nourishing practice of Yoga Nidra. A key focus of this retreat will be on heightening felt sensation as the basis for choosing, adapting, tailor fitting, and intuitively sequencing. As the retreat progresses, more and more of the sessions will be opened up for you to shift into your own practice, with Donna and assistants circulating to offer help when needed. To deepen the restfulness of this retreat, silence will be honoured from 10 o’clock each evening until the beginning of the morning class the following day.
To ensure a truly cohesive and confidential environment there will be an application process for this retreat. As a part of your application we will invite you to frame the questions which are uppermost for you in your practice and teaching and which you’d like to explore with faculty and peers. While Donna teaches many intensives packed with anatomical, somatic, and developmental material, the focus of this retreat will not be in providing more “training” but rather, an opportunity to receive the kind of tender loving care that you give to your own students.
Vibrant gourmet vegetarian meals support your retreat. In between sessions, treat yourself to a massage with a Suryalila practitioner, relax at the salt water swimming pool, put your feet up and enjoy a good book while basking in the pure air of Andalusia air, or book on one of the optional excursions.
All inclusive package from €1199.00 features:
Optional Sunday excursions: these can only be booked directly with Suryalila
